International Rolex Regetta!

If you are a lucky TWT who finds herself in the St. Thomas area this weekend, you simply must put on your topsiders and visit the 2010 International Rolex Regetta. Starting today and going until March 28th, the "Crown Jewel Of Carribbean Racing" is taking place at the St. Thomas Yacht Club. With 69 teams competiting in four divisions, and plenty of rum to go around, (Mount Gay Rum is one of the top sonsors) it's an event an TWT who loves yacht racing (or yachts in general) can't afford to miss. Another top sponsor of this annual event is official retailer of Rolex watches, A.H. Riise in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The winning team receives their own Rolex watches, and the prestigious title of winer of the 37th Annual Rolex Regetta. If you couldn't make it to St. Thomas for the event, watch live results at http://www.rolexcuupregetta.com/.

Modern Day Titanic...Minus The Wreck...

If you're a TWT who loves to travel (you know, see other cultures, buy exotic fashion, and lay on beaches around the world) but hates the maintainence of owning your own yacht (we all know just how time consuming it is to hire a dependable crew...) then The World is for you. My SO had the honor of meeting the CEO (as well as former CFO of the World, and President of the Disney Cruise Line) of The World Cruise Ship. With 165 private residences onboard, some residents live on the boat full time, but for most, it is simply a part time home. The is ship similar to most upscale communities, complete with a full service spa, six upscale restaurants, an entire area devoted to golf practicing and programs, state of the art fitness center complete with personal training, a Graff Jewelery store, and a movie cinema. Everything on the ship is customized to your liking, from the color scheme of your sofas, to the meal that you desire most often. The World truly does travel all of the world, from exclusive islands in Russia not open to the public, to pirate ridden waters of Somalia (but don't worry, The World is the safest floating vessel around.) The World is a perfect place to buy a custom designed condo for those TWT's who desire to see the world from the comfort of their own townhome. However, if a condo within this heavenly luxurious yacht isn't part of your budget just yet, rentals are available. If you can part with the cars and PJ's for a few weeks to months out of the year, it's a great convo starter at your next charity auction "Well only last week I was in Bali...it's funny that you mention it..."
